It makes an ideal retreat to return to after sampling the many attractions the area has to offer. An unspoilt wildlife paradise, this part of the Moray coast is home to many forms of wildlife. There are a huge variety of bird and beachlife here, from waders and ospreys to dolphins and seals which are all regularly sighted from the shoreline. There is a good golf course just a few hundred yards away with another at Spey Bay, 4 miles, and there is a coffee shop in the adjoining village of Garmouth. This relatively little known area of Scotland is an absolute delight with stunning expanses of shingly beach dunes forming a barrier to the water inlets of the River Spey, renowned for good fishing and beautiful walks.
