We wanted to create the kind of camping we enjoy - comfortable and with a private bathroom. The site is off grid but there is a 4G signal, although we encourage you to turn off wifi and listen to the birds - Helen has recorded over 30 varieties of bird on site. We love sharing our site with guests, small people are especially welcome and the roasting of marshmallows is most certainly encouraged. Dogs are welcome as long as they and their owners are well behaved.

We have five brand new well spaced, beautiful Star Emperer Bell tents, each named after one of our favourite flowers and decorated accordingly, with King Sized beds from John Lewis, and 2 futon beds as standard plus an extra airbed pack is available if needed. All beds are now full made up with luxury bedding packs for added comfort and convenience. All tents now include a log burner for keeping warm at night. We have a range of extras that you can add to your order after your reservation has been made - these include BBQ meat packs, locally brewed beer packs, firewood packs, charcoal for the BBQ and mobile phone charging packs. We can also decorate the tents for Birthdays or special occasions. Details of these extras will be sent to you in email once your booking is confirmed. All of your cooking equipment and utentsils are included, plus plates, dishes, mugs, beakers and the all important wine glasses We have torches, lanterns, hot water bottles (2 per tent) and games, a cool box and a windbreak and mallet for you to enjoy. There is a washing up bowl with tea towel and cloth, and 2 loo rolls provided per tent, plus extra gas for your cooker. Outside there is a log store, which doubles up as a pantry, with a stove, water carrier (all water on site is drinkable) and a fire blanket and lighter. The gardens are well equipped with table and chairs, and a fire pit which doubles up as a BBQ. Each unit has a private bathroom with hot shower and compost loo, and a sink for washing hands and pots, and cleaning teeth. Outside the tents we have washing lines and pegs (one per tent)

You can walk into Helmsley from the site, it's about a 10 minute walk and Helmsley is full of dog friendly cafes, quirky shops, lovely pubs and restaurants and the nicest ice-cream in all of Yorkshire. There is Helmsley Castle, and the Bird of Prey centre, and Helmsley Walled Gardens which are all reachable on foot. Turn rigjht from the drive of the site and you are in the middle of the moors within moments, great for walking, cycling or picnics.
