Het ontbijt was super lekker. Zelf bereide shake en vegan muesli. Ook keuze uit glutenvrij brood. Lekker! Vriendelijke babbel en ontvangst. Voor ons mag deze B&B gerust een 10+ krijgen. Bovendien heel proper en gezellig ingericht.

Company information

About your hosts We are the kind of people you just have to experience in person 😊 We speak four languages – Italian, German, Swiss-German, and English – and we genuinely enjoy welcoming guests from all over the world. Our values around nature and sustainability show in both small gestures and big decisions: we avoid plastic wherever possible, reduce food waste to a minimum, and grow a variety of vegetables and herbs in our own garden and greenhouse behind the house. Our philosophy is simple: protect and give back. We only have one planet – and we want to preserve its beauty for generations to come.

Property information

What makes Garden Park Guest House special? Our guest house is designed to make you feel completely at ease – whether you are relaxing in the lounge, sharing stories with fellow travellers, or enjoying one of our board games. When the weather turns cooler, we keep it cosy and warm with a fire. Upon request, we are happy to serve coffee, tea, or espresso between three o’clock and six o’clock in the afternoon (please note: no room service). Our garden is divided into two areas – a smaller one directly in front of the entrance (approximately forty square metres), and another slightly smaller section to the right of the house. Both are furnished with seating and invite you to read a book, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, or simply soak in the peace and quiet. We live in the house as well – and if you are curious, feel free to ask us for hiking tips or how we came to open a guest house in the Highlands of Scotland. All our rooms are lovingly and individually furnished. Of course, every room has its own en-suite bathroom, and towels are included. After our very first season in November two thousand and nineteen, we were already able to make improvements in three rooms, including a full bathroom renovation in one of them. The entrance area was also redesigned and now welcomes guests with a fresh and modern look. The lounge and breakfast room have been fully refurbished and now shine in a bright and inviting new style. We also offer a charming holiday cottage – Butterfly Cottage – available for weekly rental. Update from 7th August 2025

Neighbourhood information

About the local area Garden Park Guest House is located just a two-minute walk from the high street – peaceful yet central. Along the high street, you will find a number of small shops, cosy bars, bistros, and restaurants (a total of twelve), as well as a well-stocked CO-OP and Premier supermarket. There is a small museum in town, and between April and September, several local events take place. To the east of town lies Grantown East – Highland Heritage and Cultural Centre, located roughly twenty-two minutes away on foot. The walk takes you through beautiful woodland and alongside the River Spey. Only six minutes from the house you will find the entrance to the Anagach Woods, and another four minutes will take you to the River Spey. Grantown-on-Spey is surrounded by three different forest areas – each with its own charm and rich biodiversity. You could easily spend two full days exploring the woods and town parks alone. For whisky enthusiasts: Over 40 distilleries can be reached by car in 55 minutes or less – making us a perfect base for exploring the famous Speyside whisky region. And for guests with electric cars: we have a modern Easee charging station on-site. Simply use the Tap Electric App to charge – quick and hassle-free.
