Lovely well appointed first floor apartment. Large kitchen with classy appliances and fittings. Two double bedrooms both with large comfy beds. We didn't try the single room. The bedrooms were on the opposite side to the road so were nice and quiet.

Company information

Glengarth was brought by its present owner in 2011, originally used as a bed and breakfast for many decades, it is slowly being sympathetically restored into a comfy quality home. With an emphasis on uncovering and restoring the original features of a Victorian and Cornish Granite property.

Property information

Glengarth is a traditional Cornish Victorian Granite Home, set on the A393 in Burnthouse. It is situated 5 minutes from Falmouth and Penryn, 15 minutes from Truro, and 45 minutes from St Ives, Penzance and St Austell. The first floor, three bedroom flat, has just been fully renovated with deluxe furnishings, all new curtains, wool carpets and Duresta sofas, It boasts a fitted bespoke kitchen/diner, traventine bathroom with whirlpool bath and walk in wetroom shower, each with a toilet. Two Bedrooms have large beds with mattress toppers, TV in master bedroom and ortheopedic mattress. The main views to the front are across the mature garden, and to the rear neighbouring gardens with some views of the road. The shared garden has a patio area, with outside table and chairs available opposite the historic well. Parking for two cars is by the front house entrance. Please note that due to the open nature of the landing, this property is not suitable for small children

Neighbourhood information

My favourite place to walk in Cornwall is Kennall Vale in Ponsanooth. Tucked away at the back of the village, this beautiful woodland site used to be home to a gunpowder mill supplying Cornwall’s mining industry and the fascinating remnants are still there to see as you walk.
