Family home run by Felicity who will go the extra mile to make your stay memorable. Ideally situated on the edge of town with a sunny aspect. WADEBRIDGE is a lovely town sitting on the Camel Estuary. Our Guest house , GWYNARTH is a 5 minute walk into the centre. Offering a comfortable stay in either a Queen ensuite wet room or a twin ensuite, both rooms are on the ground floor. Our rooms are clean and bright with comfortable beds, TV, tea and coffee and free WIFI. On our doorstep are several eateries and bars all within walking distance. THE CAMEL TRAIL starts here . South to PADSTOW and North to BODMIN and beyond. PADSTOW is a wonderful working fishing village with an abundance of great restaurants and many boutique type shops. Boat and fishing trips set off from here daily. PORT ISAAC of DOC MARTIN fame is a 10 mile drive away. A pretty fishing village as seen regularly on TV THE SOUTH WEST COASTAL PATH can be picked up from here. Some beautiful walks with stunning views. GWYNARTH is ideally situated to explore the whole of CORNWALL. THE EDEN PROJECT, 40 minutes. LIZARD PENINSULA, ST IVES , LANDS END. approx 1.5 hours. TRURO our capital about an hour. Lovely shops and a lovely Cathedral CORNWALL can boast many NATIONAL TRUST properties. The closest being LANHYDROCK. We are close to so many gorgeous beaches for swimming, surfing, sailing, wind surfing and fishing. Most of these places can be reached by a limited bus service but it is recommended to have your own transport. NEWQUAY AIRPORT is half an hour. Flights from GATWICK daily. BODMIN PARKWAY on the mainline from PADDINGTON about 40 minutes. We have a very large garden with lots of seating. Our guests are most welcome to use this space.
After running a local Country Inn For 13 years have now returned to our lovely home and running a guest house. Have been in the hospitality business for more than 30 years. We have 2 well behaved Border Terriers behind the scenes: I am a local person, brought up on a farm, so have a wealth of information about a lot of Cornwall. Our location is an ideal starting point to see the various beautiful parts of Cornwall in one day. It is also possible to venture to Dartmoor National Park with its stunning scenery and quirky little villages. For National Trust lovers there are many stately homes and gardens to visit. Cornwall is also blessed with many fabulous eateries and there are many right on the doorstep of our home. The likes of Chefs Paul Ainsworth situated in Padstow (6 MLS) and now his much loved pub The Mariners at Rock and Nathan Outlaw at Port Isaac (6 MLS) are in easy striking distance. We are a privately owned small business so expect a far more personal touch than a hotel.
We live in a beautiful part of North Cornwall. Our coast is very dramatic and there are many beautiful walks with stunning views. We are also blessed to have some beautiful inland places to discover but our lanes are extremely narrow. WADEBRIDGE provides nearly everything needed by travellers. There is a very good cinema showing all the latest movies should the weather be inclement. The beauty of our location is that you can tour the whole of Cornwall from one spot.
