Property information

The Hill family began restoring the Manor in March 2008. Today the life of the estate revolves around the home grown produce from our Walled Garden and the freshly baked bread from our micro-bakery. Our two restaurants sit at either end of the garden creating a rare choice of exceptional cooking. The casual vibes and vibrant tunes of Smoke invite diners to enjoy A La Carte dining with signature dishes cooked over fire, whilst Grace & Savour offers an immersive destination dining experience across a flurry of servings from the open kitchen in an experience that starts at 7pm and lasts approximately 3 hours. The Manor House and Cottage restoration was inspired by the Arts and Crafts period and there is a modern nod to William Morris throughout the luxurious accommodation. The Walled Garden Suites in the old timber yard offer floor to ceiling garden views from their own individual sun lounges. Savour the bath time ritual in the hand cast concrete baths. Adjoined to Grace & Savour, these are our newest bedrooms and every thought has been made around the provenance of our natural materials. Recycled wools, reclaimed woods, natural paint, fair trade linens and organic beds by NaturalMat are the order of the day. The Whittler, The Ebeniste, The Weaver, The Coppicer, The Shingler. For the love of wood, each room is named after the technique of a different British wood craftsman or woman who made uniquely commissioned pieces for their named room. Whether or not you choose to dine in them today the restaurants make the estate a destination in its own right. The Good Food Guide recognised Grace & Savour in the Top 20 restaurants of 2022 and the Telegraph gave it 9 out 10 on opening. The Manor House has held a Michelin Star and 4 AA rosettes since 2016.

Neighbourhood information

The village of Hampton-in-Arden offers English charm and immediate access into the English countryside. The pub, church and post office define the quintessential feel and records go back to the Doomsday book of 1086. Despite the charming village vibes, it is anything but remote with the village train station offering a direct train to Birmingham International and NEC (2 mins), Birmingham city centre (14 mins) and London Euston (under 2 hours). A fast train leaves regularly from Birmingham International to London Euston and takes 1hr15mins. It is rare to find such an oasis so closely connected to the capital, second city and major transport links.
