Company information

Owner Geraldine had a horse riding accident in 1981, resulting in a broken neck and being confined to a wheelchair ever since. This is the family run fishery and farm with 3 coarse fishing lakes and one spring fed wild swimming lake. In addition a large area of wooded copse with several natural lakes and ponds to wander round, and see wildlife and wild flowers 'au naturel' Our Individual and cosy shepherds huts for 2 are in their own secluded positions around the property, all with glorious views over the lakes and countryside. We enjoy welcoming guests to our property to 'chill out' and enjoy the peaceful seclusion and beautiful views.. Many writers and composers come here.

Property information

Fabulous views from our four individually designed shepherds huts situated in their own large private space, either on, or overlooking our two main lakes, situated within our 30 acre beef farm and coarse fishery, with it's own spring fed wild swimming lake at the top of the property. Very quiet and peaceful, surrounded by all kinds of wildlife and with stunning views to the South Downs. Fishing available for experienced anglers. Common, mirror and crucian Carp to 25+ lbs, plus tench, orfe, roach, rudd, perch and gudgeon. Bird feeders outside each hut, our feathered visitors include woodpeckers, all kinds of tits, goldfinches, kingfishers, wagtails, moorhens, ducks (that love our guests feeding them), geese, buzzards, herons and many others. Foxes, badgers and deer are often to be seen, especially during the quiet of evening/night and early morning. Watch brilliant sunsets and sunrises and the clear star filled skies at night. No light pollution here! Property is close to many places of interest such as the Bluebell Railway, Sheffield Park, Batemans, Hever Castle, Wakehurst Place, the South Downs, Lewes, Tunbridge Wells, Brighton, Eastbourne, Rye and Camber Sands. Our site is especilly attractive to composers, writers and artists of all kind who find inspiration from the surroundings, plus those who just want to 'chill out' from the hustle and bustle of modern day living. Sit at one of our benches in the woods, overlooking the green house free countryside.
