Hebrides Bothy is situated in a traditional Lewis crofting village and in the grounds of our family home. We are happy to help with any part of your trip planning and advise on where to visit to get the most out of your island adventure!

Property information

Hebrides Bothy is a luxury eco cabin with panoramic coastal views near Stornoway, Isle of Lewis. Stay in comfort in a fully insulated, heated ‘hobbit house’ which offers a hotel quality double bed, sofa bed, en-suite bathroom, fully equipped kitchenette, lounge area with Wi-Fi, smart TV, board games and garden. Cosy fleece throws and firepit with BBQ grill guarantee a cosy getaway. The Bothy offers a perfect base to relax and stay while exploring the islands as we in within driving distance of landmarks such as the Callanish Stones, Blackhouses, countless unspoilt beaches. The unique round window, large patio doors and covered porch showcase the view, spectacular sunsets and Northern Lights in winter. The Bothy is family friendly with a private garden area and beach toys available.

Neighbourhood information

Swordale is a traditional crofting village in the Point peninusla, just 5miles from Stornoway town centre. It has coastal views across Broadbay. We have a local shop, Buth an Rubha, and Cafe ten minute walk or minutes drive away. Swordale shore and the Braighe beach are within walking distance to the Bothy, as are machair, moor and coastal path walks, just a minutes walk from the Bothys front door. We are in driving distance of all attractions in Lewis and Harris. Whales, dolphins and sea eagles can regularly be seen off the village headland and from Tiumpan Head in Point, which is widely considered as one of the best places for whale watching in the UK - check out the Hebridean Whale Trail site!
