Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. ‘Hedd Wen’ is fantastically positioned on the edge of Eryri National Park, where you can enjoy and admire great views, including the Nantlle Ridge, distant views of Yr Wyddfa to the East, Ynys Llanddwyn & Ynys Môn to the North. The summer sunsets here are quite breathtaking! Great property in a lovely area. Quiet location, yet only approx. 20 minutes by car to the historic towns of Caernarfon & Porthmadog, and within an hour from Zip World (the "ultimate outdoor adrenaline rush" in Betws-y-Coed!) Nice beaches nearby. Also, a scenic cycle route close by (Lon Eifion).
A Welshman through and through - originally from Ynys Môn (the Mother of Wales), a native Welsh speaker, a male voice choir member (Côr Meibion Caernarfon), and a big Welsh football fan! For over a decade, from the age of 21, I lived and worked in Scotland, where I met Lucinda, and we've been together ever since! My career then took me to England, followed by a stint in Russia. From 2016 I worked for a large, global business, where I travelled extensively all over Europe and beyond. Stayed in many accommodation establishments during this time, and became very appreciative of the places that get it right! I changed careers and now appreciate being able to spend more time at home and hiking with my dogs in the beautiful hills on our doorstep! When you come and stay here you’ll likely love it too! I’ll be contactable on my mobile. I also live on site, but a comfortable distance away from the cottage.
Nebo is a small, quaint village. ‘Hedd Wen’ is located on the property of Bryniau Cochion, positioned towards the end of the village. You can walk and be within Eryri National Park in less than ten minutes! Ideal for exploring Gwynedd and North Wales - Porthmadog to the South and Anglesey to the North. Our guests find it ideal to enjoy all kinds of outdoor pursuits on offer in the area. Hedd Wen is also ideal should you want a quiet, restful break. As with many such rural locations, roads are quite narrow. There is a short, narrow track leading to the property which is unsuitable for large campervans and caravans.
