Nestled amongst farmland and woodland, Hensill Farmhouse is a wonderfully isolated, 19th century cottage incorporating elements from a neighbouring Tudor house. Situated on the outskirts of Hawkhurst, a great pub is only a mile away on foot.

Information correct at time of writing. Hensill Farmhouse is situated on the outskirts of beautiful Hawkhurst which boasts a fantastic selection of independent shops and places to eat. The closest pub to the cottage, The Eight Bells, is only a mile away and easily accessible on foot. A cosy, country inn, it offers customers a welcoming atmosphere with classic pub meals and a great selection of real ales. A short drive away (10 minutes) you will discover the village of Wadhurst, offering a wealth of shops including a small supermarket, a butchers and an excellent wine merchant, The Secret Cellar. Delight in a delicious meal at the Michelin starred restaurant, The Curlew in Bodiam, a 15 minute drive away. An excellent base from which to explore the many National Trust properties in the area, stroll round the beautiful Scotney Castle, Sissinghurst Castle Garden, Bodiam Castle or Bateman's. Kent has a number of excellent vineyards. Take a tour and learn more about English wines at the Hush Heath Estate or Chapel Down Vineyards. For the sports enthusiasts play a round of golf at Dale Hill Golf Club which also benefits from a leisure club with gym and indoor pool. Otherwise enjoy a day out at Bedgebury Forest, home to the National Pinetum, extensive cycling trails or for those with a head for heights, there is the action packed Go Ape. Slightly further afield you will discover the spa town of Tunbridge Wells (20 minutes) which hosts a wealth of shops, pubs and restaurants or Camber Sands and the Cinq Ports town of Rye (40 minutes).
