Heron Place was built in the 1930’s in the style of a traditional Lakeland farmhouse. The interior of the property retains many of its original features with strong influences from the Arts & Crafts movement. A great deal of attention has been paid to warmth and stylish furnishings throughout the property – this is very much a home for the owners who are sharing this with us. It sleeps up to 8 guests in 4 bedrooms over 2 storeys. There is almost an acre of garden, which has been carefully planted, with paths and various seating areas which provide dramatic vistas of the stunning views into Great Langdale. A wooden deck has been built around the tree in the middle of the garden, which provides an amazing area to sit and enjoy the views. A beck runs off the fells through one side of the garden and is now incorporated as a feature in the garden room. The Langdale Pikes dominate the area and provide an awesome sense of scale. This is a truly luxury self-catering property. There is private onsite parking for 2 – 3 cars Strictly no dogs allowed at this property.
