Hootsman is located on the Edge of the beautiful Village or Rosedale Abbey in the heart of the spectacular North York Moors National Park, on our rare breed goat farm. Hootsman is a converted stone barn with an open plan living kitchen with hand painted units giving a country feel, wood burning stove, en suite bedroom with a bespoke double bed. Hootsman has a newly Installed Wood fired hot tub with fabulous views and its own private garden.(additional charges apply) . We accept 2 small to medium sized dogs. We offer goat yoga and pizza evenings in the summer months, cheese making courses throughout the year, check out our website abbeyfarmcottagerosedale for more details
My Husband Jonty and I gave up the rat race and fled to North Yorkshire in 2019 to set up our pedigree goat farm from which we make artisan cheese and holiday accommodation. We offer cheese making courses, goat yoga in the spring and summer and cheese tasting I will generally be available in the farmhouse during your stay. Please note that we are a working farm and request that you do not disturb us before 9am and after 7pm unless it is an emergency Please note that any texts or messages received after this time will be dealt with the following morning unless they are an emergency.
Rosedale Abbey is picturesque North Yorkshire Village ,perfect for countryside walks and a great base to explore the spectacular North York Moors, coastal towns such as Whitby and Scarborough and the city of York is only 60 minutes away A range of local amenities located within the village of Rosedale Abbey including pubs, tea rooms, cafe and village shop where you can buy most daily provisions. Whitby , Scarborough, Robins Hoods Bay to name but a few are within a 35 mins drive over the moors.York is under a one hours Drive away Please note there is no mobile signal in Rosedale internet access is available via our internet services
