    Open the gate and you're right on the Tarka trail, short walk to the beach and to all the local pubs. We found the accommodation had everything we needed, ideal for a couple.

INSTOW SANDHILLS is a charming timber chalet set just moments from the estuary shoreline and sandy beach in the picturesque village of Instow. Perfect for couples or small families, this peaceful retreat offers two comfortable bedrooms (a double and a twin), a bright open-plan living area with a wood-burning stove, and a fully equipped kitchen for relaxed self-catering breaks. *Parking is free* - You will find the permit to park at the Cricket club in the chalet. Access to the chalet is just along the Tarka bike/foot path 200 metres from the parking. Outside, enjoy an enclosed paved garden with seating, parasol, and a wood-fired BBQ—ideal for al fresco dining after a day at the beach. The property also includes thoughtful extras like beach games, books, DVDs, and children’s crockery. Located a stone’s throw from the scenic, traffic-free Tarka Trail, it’s ideal for walking and cycling. The village itself boasts lovely cafés, pubs, and a seasonal ferry across to Appledore, with other North Devon highlights like Westward Ho! and Bideford just a short drive away.
