Inverlochy Villas will soon be two hundred year old , having been built originally as officers housing for the old original Fort William from which the town takes its name. Set completely in its own grounds the properties are on the edge of town overlooking the River Lochy (famous for its salmon fishing) at the front and looking onto the magnificent Ben Nevis from the rear. It is situated only one hundred metres from the junctions of the A82 and A830 making it an ideal centre from which to tour the area . Buses to and from Fort William are regular and stop twenty metres from the bottom of the drive. The Great Glen Cycle Route (which makes an ideal shortcut and walk into Fort William is only one hundred metres away. Breakfast comes to every room daily (fruit juice ,croissants fresh fruit yoghurt tea cofee etc. Inside there is a choice of three ground floor lounges for our guests -all with wide screen televisions and board games. Wifi is throughout the property, all our bedrooms have flat screen TVs and DVD players for guests to watch- we provide a large selection of up to date DVDs. We have on site two charging ports for electric cars. We are an ADULT ONLY accommodation
Your hosts, John and Adrian, have between them nearly seventy years in the tourism industry which we hope reflects in the level of customer care extended to you during your visit. Both are keen walkers and photographers who enjoy eating out , so can easily point you in the right direction for that special picture or dining experience. Service is attentive an hopefully never intrusive, always having time to spend chatting or helping out . Local knowledge is extensive - like having your own personal tourism information on site. It is hoped the atmosphere in Inverlochy Villas is homely rather than being corporate. Usually guests are welcomed on arrival with tea or coffee and some home baking! . Adrian and John both enjoy driving and know the are both local and further afar really well so can offer advice on what to see/do, tickets, times etc. special attractions, events to maximise your enjoyment of the time spent staying at Inverlochy Villas. Both hosts travel a lot socially and professionally and as such would like to extend to guests the type of treatment they would like to receive themselves.
Lochy Bridge , where we are situated is less than 2km from town making many of the things to see/do in the area highly accessible, Old Inverlochy Caste is one hundred metres away for example. The climbing path to the North Face of Ben Nevis is two minute walk , salmon fishing, horse riding , golf , wonderful walks all less than five minutes from Inverlochy Villas. The Jacobite Steam Train doubling as the famous Hogwarts Express can be seen and heard daily as it thunders over the River Lochy directly in front of the property. The world famous Ben Nevis Distillery is a minute's walk away and a must see and do is Neptune's Staircase - Telford's flight of Locks on the Caledonian Canal, the footpath of which forms a major part of the Great Glen Way. The battlefield for the TWO battles of Inverlochy make for a nice stroll in the evening and a great spot to enjoy the magnificent sunsets. ThecHighland soap factory and Larder cafe are a two mutes walk away. Nevis Range Scotland's premier outdoor sports area is on our doorstep offering all the winter sports you could imagine and is the venue every year for World Cup class mountain biking events - reinforcing Fort William is very much the Outdoor Capital of the UK. More than enough to see and do for you?
