Company information

We have acquired the Industry Standard mark means that our business has followed government and industry guidelines, has a Risk Assessment in place and a process to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing. We are friendly and welcoming and enjoy talking to and laughing with our guests. Outside of the B & B we enjoy going out for meals and socialising with friends and like visiting local attractions ourselves and particularly enjoy the steam and preserved railways.

Property information

Jo & Carl welcome you to the Jacaranda. We are a small friendly guest house with 8 guest bedrooms located centrally to all amenities you would expect from a seaside resort. All our guest rooms have comfortable beds, flatscreen TV, tea coffee making facilities, hand, bath towels and shower mats, Iron and Ironing board available upon request, we also have a cot and high chair available. All our rooms have up to date decoration and are all central heated. A full English breakfast plus lighter alternatives and special diets on advance request is available. For special occasions we can offer guests flowers/champagne or wine for an additional cost delivered to your room. If you wish to stay a short or long stay we will endeavour to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as we can. We operate a no smoking policy throughout the guest house with the most up to date fire alarm system. We advise that travel insurance is taken out to cover you if you have to cancel.

Neighbourhood information

One of our favourite places to eat is Henrys on the main street where they serve good food and real ales at very reasonable prices. If you want something a bit more special then The Local Bistro restaurant serves very good food in a friendly atmosphere. They are located on the main street opposite Henrys. We have a multiplex cinema on our sea front and a theatre just a short walk away. There are many things for all ages to do in Paignton we have a pier, harbour, crazy golf, amusements, bars/restaurants, clubs, The beach, shops and amenities are approximately 100 yards from us or why not go for a day out on the Steam train. Paignton zoo and splashdown water park are close by or you could always take a short bus ride and visit Kents Cavern, Babbacombe Model Village and others.
