The accommodation is situated mere steps from the bustling central square of Hebden Bridge and just across the road from the Town Hall where various events and weddings are held. It is a five minute walk to the famous Trades club where high profile music events are a regular occurrence and only a 10 minute walk to the train station with links to all major cities. Bonsalls Holiday Lets and its signage are a historical feature of Hebden Bridge as it was formerly an Old ironmongers shop serving the community for 75 years. It has now been converted into two holiday lets. The ground floor Studio is open plan and wheelchair friendly with a comfortable King size bed. The First floor apartment is accessed from the rear of the property through a tall wooden gate at the end of the cobbles . The accommodation is provided over two floors , on the first floor there is a fully fitted kitchen, a separate dining room and lounge with reclining sofa . On the second floor you will find a charming loft bedroom with a luxury leather TV bed and dual aspect velux windows. The apartments benefit from being located on a quiet lane so sleep is uninterrupted by traffic noise. Both apartments benefit from having their own private outside space for al fresco dining, which is a rare commodity so close to the centre. The apartments are both fully equipped with central heating and a romantic log burner for those cosy winter evenings.
I was born in Hebden Bridge and all my family still live here . The Calder Valley is a wonderful place to live and it has been interesting to see all the changes that Hebden Bridge has seen throughout my lifetime. From an industrial village with mills to antiques to the hippy era and now an established walking/cycling centre that embraces tourism.
Hebden Bridge is the centre of the Pennines! Perfect for long walks and cycle rides. It has recently been voted the greatest town in Europe and is the home of the famous TV series Happy Valley. As well as being a Green room for filming episodes of Happy Valley the apartment has featured in Gimbal Walk TV and in Marko Randelovics latest film. Use the apartment as a base to explore other local landmark sites featured in recent TV series Gentlemen Jack (Halifax),The Gallows, Jericho, Swallows and Amazons (Heptonstall), The Jetty (Todmorden)plus many more.
