Welcome to Kings Wharf, a delightful three bedroom home with panoramic views across the waterfront. From bird watching, to boats racing, to the slow-moving tide flooding the mud flats, there is always something to watch from the windows and balconies! Burham on Crouch, recently described by The Telegraph as “the most peaceful town in England”, while only being one hour away by a frequent train service to all the amenities of central London. This property was built on the original Kings Boat yard site, one of many boat yards along the waterfront of Burnham on Crouch. The yard, apart from being renowned for building many famous yachts, also played a big part in the war effort throughout two World Wars. In recent years, the yard was commissioned to build the dinghy used in the film Swallows and Amazons. The original Kings Wharf, currently being restored, can be viewed from the comfort of both, very attractive sitting rooms. Views extend across the Essex estuaries, the Thames and over to Kent. Huge skies allow guests an ever- changing view of the blue skies and scurrying clouds, with frequently spectacular sunrises and sunsets. Kings Wharf is a spacious apartment over 4 floors, with 3 bedrooms, 2 sitting rooms and two bathrooms. As you enter the ground floor lobby, a lift takes you straight up to the second floor. Open the front door and you find yourself in a large hallway, off which the principle en-suite large Super King bedroom is situated.

Neighbourhood information

Moving up the stairs from the hallway you enter the South facing sitting room. This room is bathed in light with stunning views. The River Crouch stretches from East to West in front of you, the tide ebbing and flowing as the day passes. When you can drag yourself away from the window you will find the dining area, where the table will seat 6 people comfortably. Double doors open onto a small balcony. The kitchen houses an induction hob, oven, microwave and dishwasher while overlooking the river. The next flight of stairs leads to the second bedroom. This has a King-sized bed and is comfortably appointed. A final staircase leads to the second sitting room. This is another light filled room, south facing, which has a large balcony with folding doors leading out. A beautiful sunny space, boasting further views of the River Crouch, ideal for an early evening drink or morning cup of coffee. The third bedroom is a charming single with glorious views over the river. There is also a second bathroom, with spacious power shower, basin and WC.
