Ive stayed here a few times now , very comfortable bed room nice and spacious . I like the fact there is a kitchen so at least you can do a microwave meal instead of finding a local pub . Plenty of Tea, Coffee milk etc is supplied for use .

Breakfast is available as early as you need it. It's a basic, cold breakfast but plenty available. Tea, coffee and milk always available.

This is a lovely cross between a B&B and a youth hostel. They provide a continental breakfast but there is also a well equipped kitchen for guests to make an evening meal or, I guess, a cooked breakfast. Our room was clean, comfortable, and...

Company information

We moved here in 2024 and run the place ourselves. We are keen walkers (and runner) and cyclists and have a keen interest in the great outdoors.

Property information

Kington Accommodation used to be a cottage hospital complete with wards, operating theatre and a morgue. It then became a Youth Hostel. It still retains some of the hostel features such as a large communal kitchen available for guests to use and a large communal lounge. There is secure bicycle storage and a room for wet muddy boots. We are pet friendly but only allow pets in some of our rooms so would appreciate knowing beforehand if you intend to bring a dog.

Neighbourhood information

Kington is at the heart of walking country. Long distance paths such as Offa's dyke path and Mortimer's trail converge here. Kington itself is a charming market town with independent shops, cafes and pubs. Hergest Croft gardens are a mile away and worth a visit. Kington has its own museum with lots of local history and interest.
