Bay view apartments overlooking Lamlash Bay

Kinneil Self Catering apartments are located in a property built by Clyde shipping magnate Captain W. Buchanan in 1885. To reflect his love of the sea, all apartments have panoramic views across Lamlash Bay to Holy Isle and the Mainland beyond. Free on-site parking is also provided. The Kinneil apartments are named after the paddle steamers owned by Captain Buchanan, and each offers use of garden overlooking the bay, and a lounge area with TV/DVD player. A full-size oven, microwave and fridge are featured in the fully equipped kitchens. The property’s owners can arrange bike hire, maps for local walks and arrange transport from the ferry terminal. Native wildlife such as eagles, red deer and basking sharks can be spotted in the local area, as well as the occasional red squirrel.

When we took over Kinneil in 2006 we just fell in love with its beautiful tranquil setting. Arran is a place to escape, a naturalist’s paradise. We can provide binoculars for your further enjoyment of this wonderful vista. The island has lots of places to spot native wildlife like eagles, red deer, basking sharks or for the not so active one’s, the red squirrels which you can see in the garden from your apartment window side or balcony. 2008 Lamlash Bay became Scotland’s first ‘No Take Zone’. Each of our four apartments are self-contained, and fully and comfortably furnished and wherever possible we have retained the original features of this beautiful home, whilst endeavouring to ensure that your comfort and needs are catered for in harmonious surroundings.
