With an uninterrupted view across to the Isle of Skye and located by the shoreline of the Sound of Sleat, Kirkton Bay House Bed And Breakfast has two beautifully decorated, ground floor, double en-suite bedrooms. The comfortable King size beds and fine Egyptian cotton bed linen should enable a great night's sleep. The en-suite bathrooms have heated towel rails, well lit, mist free mirrors and thick, good quality towels.
A perfect place to take time to watch the ever changing patterns of weather and light and an ideal location for those wishing to explore Skye, which can be reached using the Glenelg/Skye ferry. A simple continental breakfast is provided in your room and your room has a kettle and teapot for tea lovers and for the coffee lovers a Nespresso machine.
Spindrift and Maelstrom are in a newly built garden annex. We live next door, so if you need anything we will be on hand to help, but you can choose yourself how or if you want to interact with us.
Kirkton Bay House is in the peaceful crofting village of Glenelg with the shop and village pub within walking distance. Skye is easily reached in the summer season using the last turntable ferry in the world. This area is an outdoor paradise with beautiful walks and beaches.
Although, not guaranteed, from the windows of your room I have been lucky enough to have seen sea eagles, dolphins and minke whales out in the Sound, and on still winter mornings, otters teaching their young how to fish.
