Knockninny Barn opened its doors on 17th March 2018. The accommodation is new, modern and very well located. It is very welcoming and cosy, a real home from home. The house is situated on our beef and sheep farm at the edge of Knockninny Hill, a very popular place to sight see, hike and bird watch. There is also a 4 mile walk starting from the accommodation which has inspiring views of the beautiful Fermanagh countryside and Lough Erne. The accommodation is very close to everything that Fermanagh tourism has to offer including, Cuilcagh mountain board walk, Florencecourt house and gardens, Crom Castle, Castle Coole, Devenish island, Enniskillen Castle, Belleek Pottery and much more. The house is 1 mile from Upper Lough Erne where fishing, boating and water sports can be enjoyed. Boat hire and bicycle hire are all available too. If you choose to stay in Knockninny Barn you will be made more than welcome, and are free to ask advice and for help if the need arises. Knockninny Barn is very private yet it is only half of a mile from the main Enniskillen to Dublin road. It is an ideal base to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life.
I am a farmers wife and have 4 children. My husband and I run a beef and sheep farm at the shores of Upper Lough Erne. We really enjoy our farming lives, but we seen the opportunity to restore one of our barns into luxury holiday accommodation. We tried to think at all times what we require when we go on holiday and applied this theory as we completed the restoration, creating a relaxing, comfortable and welcoming home for guests to come to on their well deserved breaks from every day life. I am enjoying looking after my guests and ensuring they have a very pleasant stay at Knockninny Barn. Feel free to ask me about anything at all, I am happy to help at all times.
There are beautiful views from Knockninny barn, you can soak up the lovely countryside without leaving the property. You can sit outside the property and enjoy the sun and admire the views and the animals. It is a very peaceful location, yet very convenient to everything you need. The barn is just 2 miles away from Derrylin village where there are 2 grocery shops, lovely coffee shops, a chemist, butchers, doctors, beauticians, hairdressers and 2 good takeaways. The beautiful island town of Enniskillen is only 15 minutes away where you can admire the shops, sight see, enjoy many excellent restaurants and relax. Our farm is well known for its spectacular and stunning scenery and walks. Knockninny Hill proves very popular with all of our guests and is well worth a visit. The hill is behind the Barn and you are more welcome to enjoy the sights, fresh air and views, an added bonus being the exercise!!!! We are happy to assist those who are less able bodied with a ride to the top. If you decide to stay at Knockninny Barn, we trust that you will have a very enjoyable time and feel relaxed and refreshed after your visit.
