Neighbourhood information

Hornsea is a quiet, Victorian, seaside town buzzing with independent shops, galleries, bars, cafes and restaurants. Perfect for families making the most of the beach during the busier school holidays, it is adored by couples out of season for it's quiet, dog-friendly ethos and links to the fabulous East Yorkshire coastline and countryside. Visit Hornsea Mere to enjoy the view, feed the geese or row a boat, shop at Hornsea Freeport or Skirlington market just a few miles away. Visit one of the many independent cafes, bars, pubs and restaurants for great food and drink. All are dog friendly and very welcoming. The beach is very popular with a 1 mile promenade and the opportunity to people watch at Huckleberry's cafe with a small paddling pool or Lyndsey's cafe. Hornsea is a great location for day trips to many popular locations. Flamborough Head with it's five beach coves is a must with RSPB Bempton and puffin watching during May-July a highlight. Enjoy a boat trip from Bridlington or see a band performing at Bridlington Spa. The bustling market town of Beverley with it's Minster, Westwood (large grassland park), shops and racecourse is just 12 miles away. Hull Marina, Fruit Market and Old Town make a surprisingly great day out.
