Welcome to our city centre cottage located only a 5 min walk from Canterbury West train station and 12 mins to the Marlowe theatre. It is also close to the UKC university. Built in 1894 this historical cottage in St Dunstans boasts many original features whilst incorporating a modern, quirky & cosy twist. The lounge has original exposed brick work with a functioning log burner. The bathroom has a traditional roll top bath and separate shower. The courtyard garden is a unique outdoor space.
My partner and I have put a lot of hard work in around our full time work commitments to renovate this cute little cottage in the heart of Canterbury. We love walks in the countryside, good food and enjoy quality time away together from our busy lives.
The St Dunstans area has an array of bars, pubs and restaurants all within a short walking distance. In just 15 minutes you can find yourself in central Canterbury where you will find the famous Canterbury Cathedral and Marlowe Theatre. You are just 5 minutes from Canterbury West train station which has direct links to London St Pancras and many of Kents wonderful coastal towns including Margate, Ramsgate and Broadstairs. The beautiful West Gate Gardens is only a 10 minute walk away where you can enjoy walks along the River Stour and picnics in the sun. Within a 5 minute walk there is a Sainsburys local , independent bakery, butchers & grocers. Bigger supermarkets can be found not much further. The Crab & Winkle trail passes through the area amongst other great interesting historical walks & cycle routes. UKC, Canterbury Christ Church University and The Kings School are all in the surrounding area and easily accessible.
