It’s in a peaceful spot too, next to the golf course and only a few minutes’ walk to the endless sandy beach of Black Rock Sands. Unusually, you can drive your car right onto the beach (there’s a charge in the summer months) so it’s a really accessible beach for all ages. The coastal village of Morfa Bychan is on the doorstep, whilst the bustling town of Porthmadog is just 2 miles away. You can walk there along the coastal path, indeed it’s an excellent place to start a walk from. You’ll find a wide selection of supermarkets and individual shops ranging from craft shops and bookshops to cafés and restaurants.
