Situated on the A68 in the Royal and Ancient Burgh of Lauder, Lornebank is a traditional Georgian house with a modern twist and a little bit of luxury thrown in. Here you will find comfortable bedrooms with delightful extras. There is a relaxing drawing room with a log burner where you can while away your time with a book and perhaps enjoy a little tipple. When the sun shines relax in the pretty garden. Enjoy a locally produced home cooked varied breakfast before setting off to wonder at the history and landscape of the beautiful Scottish Borders, or the magnificent capital city of Edinburgh. Lornebank is only a few minutes stroll from the local coffee shops and hostelries where excellent food and service awaits you.
Les and Margot enjoy sharing their home with appreciative guests. The children have flown the nest and left them to entertain and show guests what the area has to offer.
The area abounds in beauty and history with something for everyone. It may be a picnic by the river, a stroll along the sands, the biker's run, a weekend of golf, horse riding over the moors, fishing in the local rivers, visiting stately homes and picturesque gardens or enjoying a trip to Edinburgh on the new Borders railway. You will never be stuck for something to do.
