Property information

BEST DEALS FOR ALL GUESTS THAT BOOK DIRECTLY WITH US! Lossiemouth House was built in 1779, during the reign of King George III. It was the first substantial house to be built in the town of Lossiemouth and was constructed as a dower house for Lady Agnes Gordon of Gordonstoun (whose estates now form the confines of Gordonstoun School). Lossiemouth House is set behind a mature walled garden. Come and sample some of our complimentary homemade shortbread whilst you relax in your tastefully decorated bedroom. Lossiemouth is the birthplace of James Ramsay MacDonald, who became the first Labour Prime Minister in 1924. The house that Ramsay MacDonald was born in is just around the corner from Lossiemouth House. There is an Royal Air Force base located just to the south-west of the town. This was originally a flying training school and then the Royal Navy Air Station, HMS Fulmar, before it was handed over to the RAF in 1972. There are four squadrons based at RAF Lossiemouth, including 1(F), II(AC), 6 and IX(B) squadron that fly the Typhoon FGR4 jets and the P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft 120 (CXX) squadron and soon to be 201 squadron. There are 2 beautiful beaches in Lossiemouth, with east beach just a few minutes walk from Lossiemouth House

Neighbourhood information
