The Apartment is located in a quiet residential area and secluded position, yet it is a 10-minute drive of Inverness centre, there are also regular buses within 5 minutes’ walk away. The Apartment is self-contained with its own entrance door and semi-detached to the main house, and having no one below, above or to the other three sides, the fourth wall is 3 feet thick with the addition of modern sound insulation on both sides, and as such is very quiet and peaceful. Accommodating a maximum of 2 persons (either two adults or one adult + one child aged 12 and over), having a bedroom with twin beds, bathroom, kitchen, lounge with freeview TV and WiFi. Great base for exploring the City of Inverness and the Highlands in general, the Apartment is equally suited to guests working or studying in the area, requiring convenient and reasonably priced accommodation. We accept well behaved pets, maximum of two pets (Dogs and Cats only), by prior arrangement and charged at 30 pounds per pet per stay.
Whether your visit is for work or pleasure, David and Anush are passionate about providing comfortable, well equipped and reasonably priced self-catering accommodation, located close to some of the most spectacular scenery in the UK. We will do our utmost to ensure all guests experience an enjoyable stay, with a high attention to detail; additionally we are both experienced mountaineers and walkers, and are happy to advise on local routes- if required. An ideal base for exploring the beautiful and dramatic Highlands of Scotland, with its rich culture and breath-taking scenery; perfect for many and varied outdoor pursuits, including: walking, climbing, wild swimming, fishing, golf, photography, painting, nature watching or simply relaxing. Loch Ness is of course, well worth a visit- on the A82 from Inverness, there is a visitor information center, cafes, restaurants, toilets, Loch Ness boat trips, on the way at Drumnadrochit , with the World famous Loch Ness Monster centre and museum- with fascinating local history and geology; Urquhart Castle- the famous Loch Ness Castle is very impressive and open to the public (please check opening times before travelling). The Internationally famous Cairngorm National Park, with its special landscape, is a 30 minute drive away, a centre for mountaineering, walking, hiking, water sports and general adventuring, photography; a habitat of unique rocks, fauna and flora – is attractive to biologists, geologists, geographers and naturalists. The Munro, Ben Wyvis is about 40 minute drive away, just off the Ullapool road A835 is an important habitat for several species of plants and birds, and is designated as a National Nature Reserve and Special Protection Area, a Special Area of Conservation and a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The award-winning Culloden Visitor centre, is a short distance away and is well worth a visit. Locally, there is a Spar shop, Coop, Scotsmaid, quality bakery- Harry Gows, Chinese + Indian takaway and other local shops all within a 5 minute walk of The Apartment; for more choice there is a large retail park, approximately 1.5 miles away- just off the main Airport road A96, with a Tesco extra. Very close to The Apartment is the Smithton to Culloden cycle/walk way (Sustrans) leading to the extensive Culloden woodland, managed by the forestry commission and open to the public, with many walks and trails popular with runners, walkers and dog walkers.
