Wake up immersed in the Wiltshire countryside, in our cosy, well-equipped shepherds hut. Enjoy our tranquil setting close to the River Avon amongst our collection of rare breed animals and birds. Just 10 minutes from the iconic Stonehenge. A perfect setting for couples or those working away from home. Our shepherd’s hut provides clean, comfortable accommodation everything you need for a relaxing stay. Inside you’ll find: • A well-equipped kitchenette with a microwave, two-ring hob, and fridge • An ensuite bathroom with power shower, basin, and toilet • Electric heating to keep you warm on cooler day Step outside to your own gravelled patio area, complete with bistro-style table and chairs — the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee or evening drink. We do include a breakfast pack, please let us know if you have any dietary preferences and we’ll do our best to accommodate them. During your stay you are likely to meet our dog, horse, goats, guineafowl, peacocks and chickens, so expect a natural soundtrack of birdsong and countryside charm. See our Royal Golden Guernsey Goat herd - Ruby has just had twins Sapphire and Smokey Quartz, and Rustie is due to have her kid(s) any day. The guineafowl and turkeys have been busy too, with 15 guineafowl keets and 5 Bourbon Red turkey chicks. We love our little haven and look forward to welcoming you!

Welcome to The Dovecot! Our property has 7 acres on the banks of the River Avon. We keep quite a menagerie of rare breed animals and birds, including Royal Golden Guernsey goats, peafowl, guinea fowl, rare breed chickens, and our pair of Bourbon Red turkeys. The main house was originally a Dovecot for the manor house, and over the years various farm buildings were added. It was converted into a residential home around 60 years ago, and we have been here for 13 years. We have gradually extended our rare breed bird and animal collection, and and have been hosting visitors for 11 years. Our shepherd hut was built by master craftsmen Blackdown Shepherd Huts in 2019, and is a favourite amongst our guests.

Easy access to Stonehenge (5-10 mins by car), Salisbury with its stunning cathedral and beautiful market square (15-20 mins by car).
