Mallards Barn has been beautifully renovated to a high standard self-catering, 2 bedroom cottage. A glazed door entrance leads to open plan dining, kitchen & living area and a utility room. The front patio has gravel & is fenced, ideal for occupiers dogs, the rear patio area has table, chairs and parasol and beautiful views over our fields, ponds with ducks & swans, and wonderful old oak trees. An oak staircase leads to the 1st floor and 2 spacious double bedrooms. (No dogs upstairs)
We will be happy to take you around the farm if you ask. We will give a contact number if you need to contact us between 8am and 10pm, please only contact us outside these times if there is an emergency. We are around most of the time to offer any help throughout your stay. We will often be walking our two Jack Russell Terriers, they are friendly but can be rather vocal when they get excited and when visitors turn up, but they soon settle down.
Our farm is set in 58 acres of predominantly undulating fields of pasture land, nestled between the Wye Valley and the Brecon Beacons. Monmouth lies 4.5 miles to the north east and the small village of Raglan approximately 2.5 miles west, both have good pubs and restaurants. The annual Abergavenny Food Festival during September is approximately 20 mins drive, and there are several notable castles within a 20 mile radius.
