Steeped in history & charm! Menstrie Castle stay offers two individually designed self catering apartments within a Scottish Castle which dates back to the 16th century. The apartments are located in Menstrie, 5 minutes from the beautiful city of Stirling and only one hour's drive from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Loch Lomond and St Andrews. The Turret is a spacious 3 bedroom apartment aptly named 'The Turret', as the master bedroom features this unique and special part of history. Set over two floors and comprising of 2 Kingsize and 1 double bedroom. The first floor consists of an entrance hallway with a cloakroom toilet and an adjoining living room, dining room and kitchen. The stairs lead up to a spacious hallway, the 3 bedrooms and a family shower room. The Turret can accommodate up to 6 adults. The Baronet, a one-bedroom apartment takes its name from the link to the Baronets of Nova Scotia. The apartment is located on the ground floor of the castle. This cosy apartment has a spacious kitchen, lovely warm lounge with dining area, king-size bedroom and large shower room. The Baronet can accommodate up to two adults and one travel cot.
Hello, we are Douglas & Tracey and we run Menstrie Castle Stat along with our two children.
Menstrie Castle Stay is set in the small village of Menstrie. The village is notable for the amount of open space and hills, For walking & cycling guests the area around Menstrie is perfect! There are many established footpaths and cycle paths. The Ochil hills which consist of Mryreton Hill and Dumyat have great views over the surrounding countryside. The village pub is a 5 minute walk from the castle and has an excellent Indian restaurant. There is a coffee shop and take away on the main road with a supermarket and petrol station. You will also find a chemist and beauty salon if required. Stirling which is ten mins by car offers William Wallace's Monument and the fabulous Stirling Castle. You will find an abundance of bars and restaurants as well as a shopping centre. We have many days out for the family close to us: Blairdrummond Safari Park is 20 mins drive, The Kelpies is within 30 min drive. Menstrie is also close to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Loch Lomond & St Andrews, all of which are within a one hour travelling distance, so whether you want to explore the cities or perhaps the abundance of golf courses, you will be perfectly placed to travel from Menstrie.
