Company information

Cathy Knapp, widow of international artist Stefan Knapp set up Mid Wales Arts in 2008. To provide a home for a core collection of his large scale, vibrant enamel on steel murals, sculptures and paintings. Since then MWA has become a hub for artists throughout Wales who appreciate the exhibition space, location and facilities. We have purpose built studios specialising in ceramics, sculpture and printing, we offer artists residencies, residential and day art courses in pottery, enamelling, blacksmithing, sculpture and painting. We have a performance space for poetry, music and dance. Our contemporary galleries are sought after venues for meetings, conferences, workshops and celebrations. Our cafe is open Wednesday-Sunday 10-4 offering home cooked, locally sourced, innovative, healthy and attractively presented brunches, light lunches, afternoon teas, coffee and cakes. We are able to cater for events.
