Property information

Middle Farm House is a countryside retreat situated in a thriving area of rural Somerset. A stunning 16th century longhouse which is steeped with history and charm. Over the last 22 years, the property has been lovingly restored by owners Lou and Roger Hutton resulting in a home of immense character. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and outside sun terrace areas that guests are welcome to enjoy, we are located down a peaceful dead-end lane with just farmland and beautiful countryside all around.

Neighbourhood information

The lovely Somerset market town of Castle Cary is very close by as is trendy Bruton with its restaurants and art galleries. Castle Cary mainline station is only a mile from our front door and in 10 minutes by car you are on the A303. So, although we are very rural, we are also well connected to London and the South West. There’s so much to see and do nearby, having a car is a real advantage as you can explore many fantastic local attractions. Close by we have The Newt in Somerset, Hauser & Wirth, Stourhead House and Gardens, Glastonbury, Frome, Lytes Cary Manor and wonderful places to eat such as Osip in Bruton, The Botanical Rooms and The Farmyard at The Newt, and many lovely country pubs offering great local food. A visit to Middle Farm House can be pure relaxation or action packed, it’s up to you. We look forward to welcoming you soon.
