Company information

Faye and Louise, along with their two children bought Netherdale House in the summer of 2016, and set about transforming the mansion into a comfortable family home in East wing and service quarters of the house, whilst creating luxurious guest en-suite bedrooms in the West wing. They have been welcoming guests since 2018, and in 2019 they transformed their old barn into a fabulous venue for hosting gatherings, ceilidhs, and weddings etc. In 2021 following complete renovation, the Coach House welcomed its first guests. Family weekend activities include walking the dogs by the river, looking after our ponies, donkeys and goats and picnics when we find the time !

Neighbourhood information

Aberdeenshire is known as 'Scotlands Castle Country', with over 300 castles, stately homes and ruins dotting its landscape. There are more castles per acre here than anywhere else in the UK. Off the tourist track you’ll find “The Secret Malts of Aberdeenshire”, produced by a cluster of distilleries dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. Visitors can get right up close to traditional skills in rural settings among picturesque villages, wooded hills and rolling fields at places like the Ardmore, Fettercairn, GlenDronach or Knockdhu distilleries, out on the coast for Glenglassaugh (its fans say you can taste the sea), or into the Cairngorms for Royal Lochnagar. With 55 golf courses, one for every week of the year, Aberdeenshire is a golfing paradise. With 165 miles of coastline, and a lot of sand dunes including several of the top 10 oldest, not just in Scotland, but in the world.
