New Hill Farm Shawforth apartment is half of the main farm house. Surrounded by 7 acres of land, overlooking the Front Field which contains our 4 donkeys and 1 horse. Our back field houses our Sheep and Highland Cattle. The main house garden area, houses the hen and duck coops, who roam freely about the farm. In the front field is a duck pond with a picnic area, with fenced off connecting walkway - at the picnic area you can enjoy using the barbecue and picnic benches - whilst being investigated by the curious donkeys - who are separated by post and rail fencing from the area. The road in front of the farm is a public access road, which connects to walks around the area, via Public footpaths and at the bottom of the farm lane is a cycle path connecting Bacup through to Rochdale and beyond.
Running a home business and looking after the animals, means we are virtually always on site to offer help and advice to our guests. We enjoy looking after our donkeys , sheep , chickens and ducks. Guests are welcome to join in - just ask.
The road at the front of the farm is public access - connecting to many local walks around the area. Close by Stubbylee Park Lee Quarry mountain bike trail. Cycle paths. Bacup and Todmorden hosting local events Hollingworth Lake Within easy reach of many of Lancashires attractions Blackpool , Forest of Bowland and West Yorkshire
