Natasha and Quentin are excellent hosts who ensure the needs of their guests are priority. We felt comfortable but honoured to share their home. Evenings were spent relaxing on the terrace listening to the birds or being allowed to play vinyl...

Noyadd Trefawr is a characterful Grade II* listed Welsh gentry house dating back to the C15th but extensively remodelled in 1820 and updated in 2021. It sits in 10 acres of parkland looking over a lake and ancient woodland and old quarries. It is very peaceful and beautiful, with land to explore and different garden areas. Bedrooms have views out over the gardens, crisp white Egyptian cotton sheets and down quilts. There are no TVs in bedrooms as most guests relax with the deep quietness and background sounds of birds, rustling trees and distant farm animals. You will find some sloping floors, creaky floorboards and other idiosyncrasies expected in a house that’s several hundred years old. We hope you will enjoy these quirky features. Breakfast is freshly cooked using local seasonal produce that is organic where possible. We are a licensed premises and have a good selection of drinks to buy. Noyadd Trefawr is 5 miles from Aberporth and Tresaith beaches and 5 miles to either Cardigan or Newcastle Emlyn. If you have wet coats, wetsuits, paddle boards or muddy boots, there is a room where you can stow them. We hope you have a wonderful, comfortable and enjoyable stay here.
The house nestles in the Ceredigion agricultural countryside which boasts the handsome river Teifi at Llechryd, 4 miles away. Just down our road is the river Hirwaun which is a tributary of the Teifi. There are plenty of walks, cycle paths and swimming areas in the Teifi. The Ceredigion coastal path has superb walks and many of our guests see dolphins, porpoises and seals while walking. Our nearest beaches are Aberporth and Tresaith, which are linked by a very good footpath. National Trust beaches of Mwnt and Penbryn are also close by. There is delicious food in Cardigan at Yr Hen Printworks, Pizzatipi and Crwst or further afield at Aberaeron. Follow the drinking trail of Dylan Thomas at Newquay, supposed home of LLareggub in 'Under Milk Wood', or head further afield to Aberystwyth Arts Centre and School of Art museum, or St Davids to the cathedral. Or, if you really want to go back in time, visit castles at Newcastle Emlyn, Cilgerran and Cardigan.
