    We stayed in the yew tree cabin it was completely private! And amazing 😍! The views where breath taking! Wish could have stayed longer. The bed was amazing! All the little details to the cabin was amazing! Vegan milk provided!

Nestled just off the A66, surrounded by majestic fells and swooping valleys is Hutton John, a small hamlet in the heart of the Ullswater fells. The area lends itself to peaceful breaks away, being just off the popular beaten tracks of the Lake District but close to many of the popular tourist hotspots such as Ullswater, Keswick, Grasmere, Ambleside and Bowness on Windermere. There are a range of activities on your doorstep, the Rheged Centre with cafes, galleries and shops is a 5 minute drive, Dalemain House and Gardens and the Alpaca Centre are 15 minutes drive and Lake Ullswater itself with lake cruise and watersports is 10 minutes away. The outdoor enthusiast can enjoy an abundance of walks from the door with woodlands, Great Mell Fell leading to Aira Force and the Caldbeck Fells all within easy reach of your holiday retreat. The coast 2 coast cycle route passes the door and watersports on Lake Ullswater are within a 10 minute drive. After your day’s exploring, return to the peace and tranquility of Hutton John where you can relax, prepare a delicious home cooked meal in the comfort of your well equipped kitchen and reflect on the day’s adventures together. On the nights you prefer not to cook, Dacre and Penruddock each have a village inn serving home cooked meals and local ales, both within 3 miles. The cottage is on the owners 550 acre estate close to Lake Ullswater and has been lovingly maintained with the enthesis on environmentally eco friendly materials that lend themselves to the surroundings and provide a modern home from home from which to enjoy a peaceful break away. Located on the fellside, sheltered by trees and with stunning views down the valley the cabin offers spacious accommodation for a getaway at any time of year.
