2016 was a special year for my family, our son will be the fifth generation to live here, as the family moved here 100 years ago this year. It is a special family home which we love sharing with our guests from all around the UK and the rest of world. The B&B is an ideal base for touring Flintshire and North Wales.
We started the Bed and Breakfast in 1986 when We had 2 small children and I wanted to stay at home to look after them, the house was too big just for my family so we used the extra bed rooms for guest. The first guests we had were from Australia . Thirty years ago this year. It amazes me how lucky we have been receiving wonderful guests from such far flung corners of the world.
We live in a lovely corner of North Wales Borderlands. We are mid way between Connahs Quay and Flint, not far from the large Deeside Industrial area, but far enough away for peace and quiet. Guest are delighted when they drive up to see such a pretty area that we are situated in. They love watching the variety of wild birds on the feeders in the garden, and our acrobatic squirrels in front of the breakfast room window in the morning. The Woodpecker is quite shy but appears some times. If your looking to explore the area , we are on the North wales costal path for walking and cycling. If you want mountains the the Clwydian range is not far away. The historic city of Chester is only 20 min drive away.
