Guests like to use the cottage as a base to visit Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Hardwick Hall (all great show houses/castles), Matlock Bath, Cromford for the world heritage Arkwright Mills, Lea for the John Smedley Mills and Florence Nightingale and the Peak District towns of Bakewell and Buxton as well as the caves of Castleton. We offer Netflix too on the lounge TV for you to curl up on the sofa in front of the log burner and chillout :)
Tansley is in walking distance to Matlock town centre - a nice country walk through Lumsdale valley over footpaths. The Tavern is only about five houses away and serves good food whilst The Gate is a five minute walk down Church Street. There is also a Sri Lankan Restaurant just two mins walk away called Columbo.
