Company information

We’re Esther and Nick — the hearts behind Beside the Loch. A couple of years ago, we traded the bustling streets of Brighton for the wild beauty of the Scottish Highlands, chasing a dream that’s been with us for over 15 years. It all started on a trip to Slovenia, where we stumbled upon a remote lodge called Nebesa — meaning “Heaven.” Perched high above Kobarid, it was the kind of place that stays with you. A place that sparked something deep in us. We knew then that we wanted to create a haven of our own — a place where people could slow down, reconnect with nature, and find their own little slice of heaven. Nick, originally from Edinburgh, has always had a deep love for the Highlands. Together, we spent the last decade searching for the perfect spot — somewhere that felt just right. After countless viewings and winding roads, we finally found it: Beside the Loch. Nestled on the shores of Loch Linnhe, our cabins and caravans offer more than just a place to stay. They’re a retreat into nature, a gateway to adventure, and a sanctuary for those in search of peace. What can you expect from us? A warm welcome, local insights, and a space to make lasting memories. Whether it’s wild swims, mountain climbs, or simply stargazing from your balcony. And for those seeking something truly special, we’ll let you in on a little secret — our favourite hidden beach. Tucked away along the loch’s edge, it’s the perfect spot to watch the sunset, take a dip, or just sit in quiet awe of nature’s beauty. We are building our dream Beside the Loch one season at a time - now we can’t wait to share it with you. With love, Nick, Esther, Hamish & Fraser x

Property information

Looking to explore the Highlands on a budget? Our static caravans are just the ticket. These aren’t sleek, modern getaways — they’re nostalgic gems with a character all their own. Built in the 1980s, they come with a few quirks, but that’s all part of the charm. Think of them as your cosy basecamp for Highland adventures.
