Escape to Outshot Barn for a true country getaway on a working farm near Hay-on-Wye. Immersed in rural tranquillity you can make the most of the great outdoors, heading out for walks and bike rides straight from your front door. Summer days are spent splashing in the swimming pool (open Easter-October half term, weather dependant) and cooking on the barbecue, while on cooler evenings you can curl up in front of the woodburner. Ideal for small families, the children will adore meeting the farm animals, while it also makes a romantic retreat for couples who want to get away from it all. Hay-on-Wye, famous for the Hay Festival and its envious collection of bookshops, is nearby and you are surrounded by the delights of Herefordshire and the Welsh Borders. Please note a 25% deposit is required at the time of booking. This is fully refundable up to 60 days of arrival when your remaining balance payment is due. The pool is available from Easter to October half term (weather dependent). The pool can be used between 8am and 8pm. This property operates with arrivals on Mondays, Thursdays or Fridays. If you would like to check in on a different day please contact us to discuss the availability. 2 well-behaved dog/s are welcome for an additional fee of 40 GBP per dog. This fee is not included in the rental price. Please advise us at the time of booking if you are bringing a dog/s and you will be sent a request for the additional fee. Dogs must be kept on a lead when outside the cottage garden. While Outshot Barn is all on the ground floor, it is not suitable for wheelchair users as there is a gravel drive and the doorways are narrow. Outshot Barn is set on a working farm. At certain times of the year there is more activity than others. You can arrange a farm tour with the owners to meet the animals.
