South Molton is a charmingly traditional Devon market town which serves as an excellent base for exploring North Devon’s coast and other attractions. It is within easy reach of a number of beautiful beaches, including Instow, Westwood Ho! and Combe Martin. Known as the ‘Gateway to Exmoor’, the town is easily accessible from the A361 and is conveniently situated between the National Park and the North Devon Area of Natural Beauty. The town centre has a number of good quality independent retailers in addition to grocery shops, cafes, restaurants and two butchers selling local produce. The vibrant pannier market is a real highlight and features a large number of stalls selling an excellent variety of local products. On the outskirts of the town, Quince Honey Farm offers an interactive and educational insight into the wonderful world of bees, as well as a large soft play centre and cafe. For those of a more adventurous disposition, Rock and Rapid Adventures provides the opportunity to try out a variety of activities including climbing, Coasteering and kayaking. Horse riding is available locally at Collacott Riding School.
