Property info

Characterful, medieval townhouse dating back to 1620. Inhabited by writers, poets, and artists over the years it has an eclectic and cosy feel. Open plan living room with a fireplace, loads of beams, ancient panelling and oak staircase. Conveniently situated just off famous Broad street within the old town walls. It sits just minutes away from Ludlow’s bustling market square, castle, pubs, restaurants, shops and walks along the river Teme. The magical, grade-two listed house is truly in keeping with the atmosphere of charming Ludlow. The accommodation comprises of a large oak-floored, beamed living room with a cosy fireplace, TV, and WiFi. A well-equipped open-plan kitchen that flows into the dining area with ancient oak panelling, oak table, and bench seat. The upstairs rooms are very light and airy with an abundance of skylights. There are 2 double bedrooms, one with a double bed and the second with a king-size bed. A good-sized family bathroom with bath and shower. Downstairs also offers a small shower room and WC. The house is a family home full of antiques, books, and decorative items collected with love. There is a small sun-filled courtyard with tables and chairs and a washing line if needed. Pretty much all the mod cons, and a washer and dryer in the cellar. Ludlow is a charming market town in Shropshire, England. The town is significant in the history of the Welsh Marches, close to Wales. It is located 28 miles (45 km) south of Shrewsbury and 23 miles (37 km) north of Hereford, on the A49 road. The town is near the confluence of the rivers Corve and Teme. The oldest part is the medieval castle and walls. Dating from the late 11th century after the Norman conquest of England. It is centered on a small hill on the eastern bank of a bend of the River Teme. Situated on this hill are Ludlow Castle and the parish church, St Laurence's, the largest Church in the county. From there the streets slope downward to the River Teme, and northward toward the River Corve. The town is in a sheltered spot beneath Mortimer Forest and the Clee Hills, which are clearly visible from the town. many pubs and restaurants are within easy walking distance.
