Peel House, one of Burton’s historic buildings offers guest travelling to the area a welcoming stay in our quiet and comfortable apartments, ideal for the solo traveller or perfect for couples and groups booking more than one apartment. Each apartment has its own private entrance off the communal hallway and provides our guests with a quiet, relaxing space to enjoy. We've tried to build in some additional comforts for the frequent traveller; Freeview TV, full size integrated kitchen with everything you need to prepare and cook food, workspace (with convenient plugs), USB plugs, toiletries and towels, comfortable sofas to relax on in the living room and gated off-road parking. Guest staying at Peel House have easy access to local amenities with 3 supermarkets situated close by and a good selection of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Situated on the south side of Burton we are close to the River Trent and the washlands, with its walkway and bridges over the river, this is a lovely walk or an ideal jogging route if you wish to get out and explore the local area. Peel House is a historic local building dating back to 1812. This was one of the homes of the Peel family when they moved from Lancashire to Burton. The Peels were responsible for the invention of the modern day police, labour reform laws and the introduction of the rare breed Tamworth pig. The property is set back from a main road with one private parking space available for each apartment. Parking is in a gated area and you will receive the entry code on your first day by email. These are serviced apartments and we can arrange to meet you with the key or arrangements can be made for self check-in. Peel House is a 3 storey Grade II listed building with the apartments situated over the 3 floor, access to the apartments is via the central staircase.

Neighbourhood information

Peel House is close to the centre of Burton and very handy for shopping, pubs and some excellent local restaurants. Burton is close to the A38, M42 and M1 motorways and the A50 which links Nottingham to The Potteries. Burton's real claim to fame is that it the brewing capital of the UK and much of Burton was formed by the great brewers such as Bass and Marstons.
