Property information

On the coast and surrounded by nature, come for dark skies, fabulous walking and an iconic view of Eglwys Cwyan (the little Church in the sea) There’s a spiritual feel to this whole place and it’s not a surprise really when you learn about its history – the tiny medieval church sits on the tidal island called Cribinau, once there was an ancient royal house down the road at Aberffraw and that was built on preshistoric Roman settlement. You can read all about it in your cosy semi-detached home by a roaring fire and stare through the patio doors at the sea. A picture window in the dining area is a great spot to plan your adventures with a glass of wine and a fish supper. Inside is generous, light-filled and roomy with serene, panoramic views are far-reaching to tempt you outside again and again. Or spill outside on sunny days and set up for an evening and be part of the view. The kitchen is scrupulously shiny with sleek stone surfaces, space for prepping and big views. The main dual aspect king bedroom is large and light. A double and a king bedroom feel fresh and contemporary. A gleaming bathroom offers a bath and a sparkling shower for a fresh start to each day. Perfect for big groups too is next door Penrhyn Isa Un – together both houses can sleep 12. So, bring the dog and the gang and stride along ancient paths along the coast to Rhosneigr. There are many coves and sandy expanses to explore and round it up with a beer and a hearty meal at The Sandy Mount. Breakfast at the Ty Llewellyn is an easy walk and the pub there brings a welcome local cheer.

Neighbourhood information

Cyclists will head to Newborough Forest and Warren for an off-road circular route with a long section by the coast. Wildlife lovers will like watching red squirrels scramble the trees. Artists and writers will steep themselves in the peaceful, creative vibe of Malltraeth. The sheer cliff faces at South Stack near Holyhead provide nesting sites for large numbers birds including puffins, guillemots and choughs. Petrol heads will pop across the bay to Trac Môn Anglesey Circuit to watch motor sport racing or join in. Please note the roar of engines may accompany your glass of wine on a still evening if the sports are on. Or if it’s too much activity just stay put, keep it simple and watch the stars come out.
