This former 18th Century Canal Warehouse has been lovingly restored to a beautiful home., keeping many of its original features and beams. I offer 2 rooms in the main house and 2 extra bedrooms from time to time in the a newly renovated cottage in the Garden. Both locations are in an idyllic rural setting with magnificent views across open countryside just 10 minutes from the market town of Garstang and a few minutes drive from the Trough of Bowland. 1/2 hour from Blackpool, Morecambe and Lytham St Annes. 3/4 hr from The lakes and Yorkshire Dales. There are 2 of the rooms in the main house which don't have en-suite facilities, althought both rooms have the use of a bathroom & a separate shower room, both with washbasins and WC's. The Luxury en-suite and twin with private bathroom are located in our newly refurbished Cottage across the Courtyard. These rooms are not always available to book independantly of the cottage. The cottage is available to book as a whole in a separate advert on Airbnb From time to time, there may be some noise from the nearby M6 & railway line depending on wind direction, but newly fitted double glazing makes it almost impossible to hear any noise from the inside of the property. Due to the proximity of both residences to the Preston - Lancaster Canal and a stream through he garden we get wonderful wildlife.
Julie has many years experience in hospitality having previously owned and ran a small bed & breakfast in Yorkshire and until recently spent most winters looking after guests in her Ski Acommodation in the Austrian Alps. Julie looks forward to welcoming you to explore this beautiful area of North Lancashire.
Located right on the Liverpool to Lancaster canal which offers wonderful walks and cycle routes straight from the door. Close to Beacon Fell Country Park, Bleasdale Moor and the picturesque Forest of Bowland. Just half hour from the Yorkshire Dales and Cumbria and just under an hour from the Lake District. Also Ideal location to explore the coastal towns of Lytham St Annes, Blackpool, Fleetwood and Morecambe. Plenty to do and see such as countryside walks, cycle routes, Mountain bike trails, canal boat hire, canoe hire, Steam train trips and much more.
