Property information

Pines is a chalet/bungalow, closely situated to the coast at Blue Anchor, is very pleasantly situated in a quiet wooded residential area. Just a couple of minutes by car to the sea front. The totally enclosed garden to the rear is not overlooked in any direction and affords views across open fields and towards the Brendon hills beyond. The promenade and sea can just be glimpsed from the kitchen. Sleeps up to 2 guests in one double bedroom Lounge with French doors onto the patio and the garden Gas fired central heating, plus log effect electric fire Wifi, heating and electricity included Towels and bed linen provided Pet welcome (1 max) for supplement of 15 GBP Private and enclosed garden with outside table and chairs Arrive from 4.30 pm Depart by 10.30 am Saturday changeover There is one large bedroom which was formerly two and so has plenty of storage with a large glass fronted wardrobe. The lounge of equal size has two French doors which really opens up the area (weather permitting) and leads directly onto the patio. There is a compact utility/storage room adjacent to the hall mainly for the owners effects but you are welcome to make use of this. The newly replaced and extended decking is ideal for relaxing and taking in the view plus watching the sunsets across Blue Anchor bay that can be absolutely stunning. You are welcome to bring your dog, for 15 GBP supplement (1 maximum), but please do not leave your dog alone in the property at any time. Thanks for your cooperation.

Neighbourhood information

Chapel Cleeve is very close to the sea and Blue Anchor promenade with two cafes and a pub. The latest café on the sea front opened a couple of years ago and is owned by the adjacent caravan park where light snacks and drinks are served. There are items for sale and newspapers can be ordered for collection. A little further along is the Driftwood café which has been established for many years and has a good reputation for its meals at reasonable costs. During holiday season there is normally an Ice cream van in evidence and all along the 3/4 mile promenade is free ample parking. Further along towards Minehead is Dunster beach where again there is ample (meter) parking and inland Dunster itself with the famous Yarn market and National Trust castle. High above Minehead is North Hill with numerous walks and views, an Explorer map of the area is provided. Minehead is the nearest large town with all the amenities you would expect with several named retail outlets and is also home to the West Somerset Railway.
