Old Orchard Cottage is a welcoming, self-contained barn conversion that dates back to 1836. Inside the cottage, a luxurious, home-from-home feel awaits you. The rural setting that surrounds the cottage is reflected in it’s stylish decor and opulent soft furnishings. The cottage consist of a hallway with a tiled floor to host muddy boots after a walk in the neighbouring countryside. Off this space is a well-lit bathroom complete with large double shower cubicle, soft, thick towels, dressing table with mirror, toilet, sink basin and a large, domineering mirror. A latch, cottage door leads to an elegant, open-plan living space, incorporating the lounge, kitchen and dining area. High ceilings give this room an airy, yet cosy feel with a large window to take in the magnificent view of the rolling hills and countryside. A cosy log burner (logs supplied), and radiators throughout the cottage keep the rooms warm and snug. Melt into the comfortable sofa, in front of the fire and relax with a good book, complete with a steaming cup of Yorkshire tea. There is a smart TV for your entertainment, so log into Netflix or Prime and while away the hours with a good boxset. Board games, a deck of cards and books are also available. Sharing this great space, is also the well equipped kitchen. In here you will find, kettle, toaster, fridge, microwave, induction hob and double air fryer. All guests receive a welcome basket on arrival, including, orange juice, milk, artisan bread baked in the village and locally supplied eggs. Yorkshire tea, coffee and sugar are also supplied to make your stay even more comfortable, so no need to remember these essentials. A door off the lounge leads into the most spacious and romantic bedroom. High wood panelling is a feature wall of this room, with more high ceilings adding to the spacious feel.
Hello I am a wife and a mum to a young family, which keeps me busy. I own a successful coffee shop, located 10 minutes from this holiday cottage. Our neighbours consist of sheep and a vast array of birds and wildlife. The outdoor space we have is just as charming as the inside. Directly out of the front door is a bistro set for two; perfect for watching the sun set, over a bottle of wine on summer evenings. There is also a generous, open-plan front garden that cries out for a picnic blanket and a good book in the warmer months. At the bottom of the drive, plays a small stream, that can be heard babbling from the gardens - white noise that is sure to relax you, complete with sounds of nature all around. We are located next to a charming, very small working farm, so the odd sound of a tractor going up the lane only adds to the countryside chorus; as do the rural sports that run sporadically during the months of October to February.
