Enjoy a relaxing stay in our one-bedroom annexe in Abergavenny featuring a cosy lounge, well-equipped kitchen, and a private patio. There is also a small fenced garden at the back. The annexe sleeps up to four guests with a king-sized bed and sofa bed, perfect for couples or small families. If needed, we can accommodate two more guests in the lounge on a double blow-up bed. With the Blorenge Mountain as your backdrop and a canal just outside your door, you'll discover countless opportunities for hiking, cycling (our property is on the Tumble), boating, or simply enjoying the beautiful views.
We are two recent transplants from England who've fallen head over heels for the beauty of Wales. We love meeting new people and sharing our favourite local spots, which is why we're so excited to open our Abergavenny home to you. We're happy to offer recommendations, answer your questions, or simply leave you to enjoy the tranquility of our canal-side retreat. We hope you'll love this special corner of Wales as much as we do!
Our home in Govilon, Abergavenny is perfectly situated for exploring all that this beautiful region has to offer. With the Blorenge mountain as your backdrop and a canal at your doorstep, you'll find endless opportunities for hiking, cycling (our property is on the Tumble), boating, or simply soaking up the stunning scenery. We are a 15 minute drive from Crickhowell, a quaint village where you will find the winner of the UK's best independent bookshop 'Book-ish'. Browse books and grab tea and cake in their cosy cafe. We also have a local pub about 10 minutes walk from the house along the canal. The Blorenge mountain is directly behind us, with hiking trails to suit all levels. We're a short drive from the Sugarloaf mountain, known for its panoramic views, and the Brecon Beacons National Park, a haven for outdoor activities such as hiking, climbing, and mountain biking. The Abergavenny town centre is just a 5 minutes drive away, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and pubs to explore, as well as the impressive Abergavenny Castle. For a unique experience, visit the Big Pit National Coal Museum, a former colliery that offers underground tours. The charming village of Crickhowell, with its independent shops and cafes, is also within easy reach. There are also several local vineyards and breweries to discover, showcasing the region's rich culinary heritage.
