Situated on the banks of Loch Lomond, Rowardennan Youth Hostel features a self-catering kitchen, dining room and offers a menu with meals, snacks and drinks. The hostel is within Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, where guests can enjoy hiking, climbing and watersports. A vanity unit with sink and mirror are provided in each room at Rowardennan Hostel, and many come with views over the loch or forest. Guests can also relax in the communal lounge which features picturesque views across Loch Lomond. Boat cruises can be taken directly from the hostel’s jetty, and free private parking is provided on site. Guests can wakeboard along Loch Lomond, with the facilities just 15 minutes’ walk from the hostel.

The fine print
Full payment for all bookings will be charged at the time of booking. All major credit & debit cards are accepted excluding American Express.
All bookings will include a temporary membership fee per person per night. (Full, existing members of Hostelling Scotland and HI using these channels are not entitled to a membership refund).
Individual reservations (Up to 8 persons) - can cancel free of charge until 3 days before the arrival date. If cancelled within the 3 days before the arrival 100 percent of the total price will be charged.
Groups reservations (more than 9 persons) - different policies and additional supplements will apply. More than 8 weeks (57 days or more) 20% of total cost. 8 – 4 weeks (56- 29 days) 55% of total cost. 4 – 0 weeks (28 - 0 day) 100% of total cost.
No stag or hen parties are permitted at any youth hostel.
Should guests be entitled to a refund or part refund please note that these are processed by Hostelling Scotland National Office, Stirling. It may take 7 to 10 working days from the date of cancellation request for the refund to be processed back onto the original card used.
From the age of 12 to 15 years, young people must be accompanied by a parent or guardian of the same gender when booking a bed within shared accommodation. Parties with young children (under 12 years) will only be accommodated in private rooms, where available.
Hostelling Scotland advise that additional notice be given to the destination youth hostel when travelling with children, to ensure that suitable accommodation is available. There is no capacity for extra beds or cots.
Check-in is from 16.30 until 21.30 and check out is from 07.30 until 10.00.Reception is open from 07.00 until 10.00 and then from 16.30 until 21.30. Late arrival and access outside opening hours is by pre-arrangement only. If you’re staying for longer than one night, access during the day is available after check-in using a security code at reception. The main lounge is accessible to new arrivals prior to check-in.
Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
