The Pigsty is a converted barn that was originally – you guessed it – a pigsty. It’s now been lovingly converted to provide a quirky “upside-down” retreat for a couples Falmouth cottage holiday, or the perfect work retreat over 2 floors. Set beside the original farm cottages, The Pigsty is complete with all modern amenities to ensure a relaxing and peaceful holiday in the idyllic Cornish countryside. Downstairs you’ll find the spacious bedroom which features a superking bed which can be split to form 2 singles on request. Next door is a bathroom and separate WC. To make the most of the far reaching countryside views, upstairs is the lounge which features high exposed beams, plus a nook overlooking the orchard to the rear. The first floor also has a kitchen with glorious uninterrupted views across the countryside. Outside the Pigsty at the front is a sitting out area that bathes in sun all day, whilst at the rear is a dedicated patio, perfect location to sit and enjoy the peaceful countryside. The cottage comes with a dedicated parking and plus access to the woods and wildflower meadow to the rear which includes a campfire area. GROUND FLOOR Bedroom: Superking double bed, bedside units, chest of drawers, wardrobe. Bathroom: Bath, basin, shower, heated towel rail. WC: Sink, washing machine. FIRST FLOOR: Lounge: Smart TV, sofa, dining table & chairs, DAB radio with Bluetooth for streaming. Kitchen: Electric cooker and ceramic hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge with freezer compartment. GARDEN & PARKING: Exclusive use of outside area to the rear with table and chairs, Access to the wider grounds including meadow and small woods. Private parking for one car is provided. MUST KNOWS Changeover Day: Arrival 3:00pm – departure 10:00am. Power and Heat: Electric heaters throughout. Bedding and Linen: Bed linen and towels provided, please bring your own beach towel.

In February 2021 we moved onto our 3 acre smallholding and set about transforming it into Trewena, a small holiday cottage complex that is now home to three 1 bed cottages on the edge of Falmouth and a stone’s throw from the best Cornwall has to offer. Please note that any damage to the property must be reported promptly. If the guest is found to be at fault for the damages, a charge will be applied to their chosen payment method.

Guests arriving outside check-in hours are advised to contact the property before their stay to arrange their check-in.

Electric vehicles: Regretfully we don’t yet have a charge point on site and guests are not permitted to charge from the cottages.

You must leave by 10am on the last day. If your arrival will be delayed beyond 9pm on the start date of your rental period, you must contact us beforehand. If you fail to do so, you may not be able to get into the property. If you fail to arrive by 12 noon on the day after the start date of your rental period and you do not let us know you are arriving late, we may treat your booking as having been cancelled by you. In this situation, we will not refund any money you have paid.
